Natural stones, warm timbers and textured finishes echo the raw beauty of the outdoors, while the spatial journey unfolds like a trail moving from base camp to summit, each zone crafted for a distinct mode of work, rest or collaboration. This formed the foundation of a holistic environment where general workspaces, executive areas, wellness zones and social hubs are connected through a clear planning logic inspired by an “Expedition Journey”.
The narrative begins at a pronounced reception “Base Camp”, rises through the energetic “Ascent” of the trading floor, pauses in the restorative “Climber’s Refuge” of breakout and wellness spaces, and culminates at the “Summit”, where VIP rooms and executive suites showcase the firm’s values and vision.
At Base Camp, the reception and waiting lounge make a refined yet understated first impression. Stone and timber finishes create the grounded calm of a mountain lodge — a threshold that sets the tone for a workplace balancing sophistication with an earthy, biophilic sensibility.
The pantry serves as a hospitality-inspired communal anchor. Complete with a central island, generous counter space and café-style seating, it accommodates both informal work sessions and moments of respite. Adjacent lounge areas mirror this sensibility, featuring sculptural lighting, timber-wrapped structural columns with integrated greenery and a perforated ceiling feature that gives the space a calm, cloud-like glow.
The Climber’s Refuge anchors the firm’s commitment to wellbeing. Wellness rooms, a gym, nap facilities, breakout spaces offer varied sensory experiences — from quiet, contemplative corners to energetic social pockets. Wellness rooms are lined with muted palettes, soft lighting and tactile materials that create an atmosphere suited to rest, private breaks or massage therapy. A fully equipped gym and a dedicated rock-climbing room introduce an invigorating dimension of active wellbeing.
The bouldering wall, sculpted with angled terrains and equipped with thick landing mats, offers a kinetic form of rejuvenation that complements the quieter wellness experiences. This reflects the design strategy of “supporting well-being through biophilic elements” outlined in the proposal, ensuring staff have spaces to reset, recharge, and reconnect.
In Ascent, the general workspace and trading floor are shaped for focus, efficiency, and performance. Ergonomic workstations, functional nooks, and integrated digital features, such as the stock-market ticker tape, support real-time decision-making.
At the Summit, the executive suites and front-of-house meeting rooms present the pinnacle of the spatial journey. Refined material palettes — including marble, brass detailing, acoustic timber panelling and hospitality-grade finishes — define these premium spaces. The boardroom, VIP meeting rooms and top management offices are meticulously crafted to support high-level negotiations, strategic discussions and client engagements, reflecting the firm’s leadership ethos and long-term aspirations.
SCA Design’s approach fuses vision with practicality, resulting in a workplace that is bold and elegant. Through nature-inspired materials, agile spatial planning and a conceptually rich expedition narrative, the new workplace embodies resilience, autonomy, and performance — a setting where high-performing individuals can thrive, and where the firm’s pursuit of excellence continues its quest towards the summit.
